Like the caption says I was almost banging my head on my desk trying to achieve the foreshortened effect for that Biker diving off his bike, it seemed no matter what I did it didn't work. So rather than push it I left it and went for a browse on here to relax and get my brain settled.

Then while browsing a gallery of :iconsenshistock: I found just the image I needed to show where I was going wrong. A few strokes of the pencil later and I had the effect nailed.

I just hope Sakky won't mind being transformed into a male. Hehehehehehe

Thanks for breaking the log jam Sakky, your gallery is a great source of inspiration and help. Thank you.

Oh! Cool! Thanks for the reference. Good to have a gallery to check out for stuff like this.

Excellent. I see the many ways in which you've made it your own (not just the sex change!), where a lesser artist would have copied slavishly.

Thanks also for the pointer to :iconsenshistock: - a great resource that I wasn't aware of until now. I can see some inspiration in her gallery for my own work.

Thanks for the reply. I don't think that drawing it exactly makes someone a "lesser artist" but I know what you mean about copying it slavishly. It sorta matched what I wanted but I didn't want him looking like Superman flying thought the air in total control, but flailing about as he's about to meet the tarmac. He's a bad guy and deserves a rough landing after all.

Glad to be of help pointing you to Senshistock. Her stuff is a great resource and needs promoting, so if I can help out a bit by doing that then we all win.

I hadn't realised he was a bad guy. Many of my friends are or were bikers, and my instinctive reaction to a sight like that is sympathy. I guess it makes sense in context with the rest of the story.

Many a time have i turned to *SenshiStock's gallery for help with my art. It's reassuring to know that even artists as talented as you can occasionally experience difficulties with poses and need to rely on references, Biker.

Hey RocketDave,
I stumble along bumping into all sorts of dead ends and artists block when I'm drawing and other days things just flow out of the pencil like it has a life of it's own. But one thing I have learned if things aren't going well is not to push it, but to back off and do something else to ease the tension.
Most often I don't use reference material, it's just my preferred way of working, but I don't think anything the less of turning to it when I do need help, I'd be a fool not to. Obviously I'm not the only one who has turned to SenshiStock in the past, just glad I found the exact picture that broke the log jam. Thanks for your kind words too.
